Founders' Co-op

Founders' Co-op is a seed-stage venture fund serving the Pacific Northwest. It describes itself as built and funded by founders, and has operated since 2008.

What Founders' Co-op offers

• Seed funding: the firm has led seed rounds for companies including Remitly, Outreach and Ganaz.
• Board involvement: it sat on the boards of some portfolio companies through later rounds.
• Accelerator programmes: it led the Techstars Seattle programme from 2010 to 2019 and helped create the Alexa Accelerator, backed by Amazon, in 2017.
• Startup Hall: a co-working base in partnership with the University of Washington, created in 2013 and still its home.

Clients

Founders across Washington, Oregon and British Columbia. Through its accelerator work it invested in about 130 further companies and calls itself an early backer of some 250 companies in the region since 2008.
