First + Third

First + Third is a design and development agency that plans, designs and builds websites on WordPress, Shopify and custom code. It began as a one-person shop about twelve years ago and has since grown into a small senior team. Its work is aimed at founders, non-profits and mission-driven brands that want a site built to convert visitors and grow with the organisation.

What First + Third does

• Strategy and ideation: a review of goals, audience and brand before any design starts.
• UX and design: user-centred layouts that steer visitors towards specific actions.
• Development and build: front-end and back-end work on WordPress and Shopify, with attention to page speed.
• Performance and growth: ongoing speed work, A/B testing, SEO and analytics after launch.
• Platform comparisons: guidance for clients weighing its builds against Wix or Squarespace.

Clients

The agency names newsroom, multi-brand media, retail and skincare projects among its case studies, including a WordPress rebuild for The Intercept, a shared WordPress system across seven brands for Recurrent Ventures, and a Shopify Plus site for Artek.
