Kickstart Design

Kickstart Design is a product development studio in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, run by engineers. It takes client ideas from early concept through engineering and prototyping, and supports the move into manufacturing. Work covers consumer products as well as industrial and medical equipment.

What Kickstart Design offers

• Concept refinement — shaping a rough idea into a design that can be built.
• Engineering — mechanical and electronic design work carried out by its own team.
• Rapid prototyping — repeated in-house prototype rounds, including models in materials close to production, to test fit and function.
• 3D concept renderings — visual concepts for clients to review before development.
• Manufacturing support — preparing a finished design for the production phase to reduce the risk of retooling.

Who it works with

Small businesses, industrial firms, entrepreneurs and startups. Published projects include mütesync, a physical mute button for video calls, and concept renderings for a lithium-ion powered golf cart for LIV Golf Carts.
