IDW Innovation Studio

IDW Innovation Studio is a hardware product development studio that designs and builds physical products for founders and companies. It takes a concept through validation, engineering and first production, with the aim of delivering finished stock to the client's warehouse.

What IDW Innovation Studio offers

• Idea validation: tests a concept against manufacturing, economics and market conditions so it can be presented to investors.
• Prototyping: builds a working prototype when the concept needs one.
• Crowdfunding preparation: engineers a production-ready product for a Kickstarter launch, with costs, tooling and first production planned in advance.
• End-to-end product development: designs and builds hardware with margins, manufacturability and later product lines in mind.
• Supply chain sourcing: works with suppliers in the US, Mexico and Asia, dealing with each one directly.

Customers and markets

The studio serves founders with an early idea or rough prototype, teams planning a crowdfunding campaign, and established brands that want to launch a hardware product. Typical products are tools, equipment and consumer devices.
