11 recruitment agencies ranked by rating, review volume and listing quality.
WordPress runs a very large proportion of the world's websites, which means the providers listing it range from firms that install a purchased theme to teams that build bespoke systems on it as an application framework. The gap between those two is enormous and the label does not distinguish them.
The questions that do: is this a custom theme or a licensed one, and who renews the licence? How many plugins does the build depend on, and what happens when one is abandoned? Who applies core and plugin updates after launch, and how quickly when a security release lands? Most inherited WordPress problems trace back to a site nobody was contracted to maintain.
