Azure Backup

Azure Backup is a backup service delivered from the cloud by Microsoft. Organisations use it to keep protected copies of their data away from their own machines, so that information can be recovered if something goes wrong locally. TrustList files it under backup software.

What Azure Backup offers

• Backup as a service — the backup work is run from the cloud rather than from equipment the customer owns.
• Incremental backups — after the first copy, only changes are saved, which keeps later runs smaller and quicker.
• Continuous encryption — data is encrypted as part of the backup process, not as a separate step.
