UK-registered AI workspace that turns inspection photos, audio and documents into risk assessments for insurance carriers, brokers and corporate risk teams; raised $4.8m in seed funding.
Nettle is an AI workspace for loss control, the part of commercial insurance in which engineers inspect sites and advise on reducing risk. The software takes the evidence from an inspection, such as photographs, audio notes and documents, and produces structured risk assessments, findings and recommendations.
The company serves three groups. Carriers use it to assess the risk across a portfolio and to find exposures. Brokers use it to support clients on prevention and to give underwriters evidence. Corporate risk teams use it to see conditions at their own sites and to follow up on fixes. Other features include faster field reporting, client portals and tracking of remediation work.
Nettle lists support for several commercial lines: property, workers' compensation, liability, construction and builder's risk, commercial auto and fleet, high net worth home, and energy, marine and specialty business. It claims inspections run about five times faster than traditional methods and that same-day risk decisions become possible.
The site highlights Allianz Türkiye and Brotherhood Mutual as customers. The company is registered as Nettle Limited, a UK company. It says it raised $4.8 million in seed funding led by MTech Capital, with Project A, SVV, Portfolio Ventures and Ventures Together taking part, to fund international expansion.
