Burning Buttons LLC

Burning Buttons is an engineering studio, in operation since 2009, that pairs senior software engineers with AI agent tools to build software products. The studio says every engineer on a project has more than ten years of experience, working with an AI agent network for tasks such as drafting requirements documents and running code review and security checks, while a named senior engineer remains responsible for the project and its outcome. Its process includes automated verification such as tests, type checks and security scans on every change, alongside continuous integration, monitoring before launch and rehearsed rollback plans. The studio publishes a record of which steps in each project were run by an AI agent and which were reviewed and signed off by a human engineer. It has worked with clients in travel, financial technology, software and government sectors, and sets fixed project scope and acceptance criteria before starting work.
