ACIMUS raises ¥65m for AI that builds BIM models from plain language
Link Capital led the Tokyo startup's seed round, with Incubate Fund and JR East Startup, which also signed a business alliance after trials…
ACIMUS is a Japanese startup that makes browser-based software for creating building information models by conversation. The company, 株式会社ACIMUS, was founded in September 2024 and is based in Chiyoda, Tokyo. On 14 October 2026 it announced a seed round of about 65 million yen, led by Link Capital with Incubate Fund and JR East Startup.
The product, also called ChatBIM ACIMUS, lets a user describe a building in plain language and have an AI draw the 3D model. The AI proposes dimensions for objects from common sizes and from Japan's Building Standards Act. A library of furniture, fixtures, equipment and plants can be placed in the design, and a chat assistant answers questions on laws such as the Building Standards Act, the City Planning Act and the Fire Service Act. A rendering function produces images from ACIMUS models, screenshots of other BIM or CAD models, text prompts or sketches, and can edit parts of an image, add people or make walkthrough videos. Models export in formats that BIM and CAD software can read, including IFC. The full version launched in June 2025, and a design AI called ACIMUS KIWARI began a trial in June 2026.
The service is written for architects and designers working under Japanese building rules, and its pages are in Japanese. A sponsor program lets manufacturers show their furniture and equipment as 3D models to users. Prospective customers register for an online briefing and demo, and pricing is discussed in a consultation rather than listed. The site does not name customers.
