Ecliptic Ideas

Ecliptic Ideas is a software development firm that positions itself as a client's outsourced technical department. It designs, builds, supports and maintains web and mobile applications. Its engineers stay on after launch rather than handing work over.

What Ecliptic Ideas offers

• Custom software development — new web and mobile applications built from scratch.
• Ongoing maintenance — monitoring, security patches and performance tuning.
• Ruby on Rails expertise — the framework named as its main specialism.
• Retained partnerships — long-term arrangements with weekly updates and clear invoicing.
• Fractional CTO work — senior technical leadership on a part-time basis.

Who it works with

It works with companies whose product exists but who lack a team to run it, and with businesses that have funding and a plan but no product yet. Past work includes a wine e-commerce platform, a healthcare behaviour-planning tool, a bridesmaid e-commerce system spanning many Shopify stores and an application for quality checks on solar projects.
