Droid Technologies

Droid Technologies is an embedded engineering company that develops electronic products in full or in part. It handles hardware, firmware, industrial and mechanical design, and software for Linux and mobile devices, with technical project management throughout, for clients in the USA, Germany and elsewhere.

What Droid Technologies does

• Electronics design: power, analog, digital and high-speed, and RF circuits, with EMI, ESD, EMC, FCC, CE and UL compliance in mind.
• Firmware: bare metal microcontroller code, FreeRTOS, Zephyr RTOS and embedded Linux, plus wireless protocols and security.
• Mechanical and industrial design: enclosures, 3D printing, IP ratings and preparation for injection moulding.
• Software and apps: Android, iOS and Linux development, including apps for devices with displays.

Who it serves

Its project areas include medical devices that read ECG, EEG and PPG sensors, high-voltage switching automation, smartwatches, gateways and barcode or RFID readers, SDR radio links, and in-car systems using OBDII diagnostics. The firm says it sticks to the embedded field rather than spreading across many industries.
