AOKI Studio

AOKI Studio, also written AOKIstudio, is a 3D animation and art direction studio working from Tokyo, Paris and Shanghai. A group of French and Japanese directors, designers and architects started it in 1998, first to make architectural and urban visualisations.

What AOKI Studio offers

• Full 3D productions — taking a film from its first concept through direction, modelling, animation and lighting to delivery.
• Single production stages — character design, 3D sets and backgrounds, artistic or technical direction, animation or effects on their own.
• Visual effects — special effects work for commercials, music videos and cinema.
• Architectural visualisation — 3D renderings of buildings and urban projects, the studio's original line of work.

Who it works with

The studio makes content for advertising, cinema, events, virtual reality and metaverse projects. Early architecture clients included Takenaka Corporation and Odakyu Real Estate. Entertainment work includes a full 3D television advert for the drinks brand Dydo, won through a Hakuhodo competition, a music video for Bonnie Pink with Warner Music Japan, and animated shorts for the French channel TF1.
