Alison Green, BA(Hons), FCMA

Alison studied European Business Studies at college in the UK and Germany She qualified as an accountant in 1990 and went on to become a Fellow Chartered Management Accountant Alison worked as an accountant in the technology and financial services industries for 12 years before moving to KPMG to become a Management Consultant specializing in Financial Modelling

Having moved from the UK to the USA in 2008 and not knowing how to prepare her own US income tax return, Alison took a course to learn She joined a tax preparation firm that year and started preparing individual income tax returns She progressed to become an office manager and trainer of new tax preparers

During that time Alison started her own part-time small business as an accountant for other small business owners in Fayetteville

To enable her to assist her clients in filing their business tax returns she studied Partnership tax returns, S-corporation tax returns and C-corporation tax returns

In 2017 Alison decided to "go it alone" and set up her own business full-time as an accountant and tax adviser

She specializes in small businesses Her aim is to help self-employed individuals and small business owners to understand what records they need to maintain before getting to the end of the tax year and realizing that they never did! After being frequently asked if she was a notary, or knew a notary, she decided to become a notary! Alison is an avid crafter, loves reading, travelling and animals She is treasurer of her local Community Watch Association and involved  in several local non-profit organizations

Alison has been married to Andrew, a high school math teacher, since 2006 They live in Fayetteville, NC, but love to travel and have so far managed to visit 26 out of 50 US states, with more to be added soon! They currently have one cat and one dog
