TQ Ventures

TQ Ventures is an early-stage venture capital firm founded in 2018 by Schuster Tanger and Andrew Marks, two longtime friends who came to the industry from backgrounds in traditional investing rather than venture. The firm says it built its approach from first principles, around the question of how to identify, back and support promising founders. TQ now manages a large pool of assets across four funds and has invested in more than eighty companies globally, with each fund reporting strong performance relative to its peers. It has largely kept a low public profile, describing its earlier website as little more than a placeholder, and says it is now building out its brand further alongside a newer fund. Beyond capital, TQ says it helps the companies it backs with strategic and customer introductions to major enterprises, drawing on a team whose members come from varied backgrounds spanning startups, technical fields, investing and sales.
