The Seed Lab

The Seed Lab is an early-stage investment firm founded by three generations of entrepreneurs, combining what it describes as operational experience with newer creative perspectives. One founding partner, Stephen, was previously president and a board member of Bandier, a multi-branded women's retail distribution business, and continued investing after selling a large minority stake to Eurazeo in 2019; he also founded Veritus Group, an advisory firm focused on the consumer sector, whose past clients have included Alterna, Billabong, Chaser, Igloo Coolers, Joe's Jeans, Fender, Frame Denim, Authentic Brands Group, Steve Madden and Roots Canada. He serves on several company boards, including Terra Kaffe, Sanguina and Virtusan. The firm positions itself around consumer trends and cultural change.
