Sting (Stockholm Innovation & Growth)

Sting, short for Stockholm Innovation & Growth, is a startup accelerator in Stockholm. Its flagship programme, Sting Core, runs for six months, and Propel Capital, an investment vehicle connected to Sting, has backed more than 170 companies since 2014. The name STING Capital no longer appears on its site, and stingcapital.com now forwards to sting.co.

Sting works with start-up teams through hands-on coaching and course content. Each company is paired with an experienced Sting coach who spends several hours each week with the team, challenging and supporting them on the activities that matter most.

• Customer relationships: help with keeping and growing existing customers.
• Metrics and goals: setting key performance indicators, goals and milestones.
• Sales training: course modules on turning marketing strategy into sales, meeting customers, closing and selling more to current clients.
• Intellectual property: modules on auditing IP, patents, trademarks, design protection and copyright, including whether to protect in Sweden, the EU or worldwide.
