About Locus Ventures

Locus Ventures is a seed fund founded in 2016 by alumni of Google, Facebook, Yahoo and Y Combinator. It describes itself as a team of makers and entrepreneurs working to help other founders build their companies, and invests in founders it describes as building category-defining businesses around the world. The firm says its partnership combines startup founding and operating experience across Silicon Valley and Asia, and it works closely with the founders in its portfolio, offering guidance on product design and development, customer acquisition, team-building and fundraising. Since 2016, its portfolio companies have together raised substantial follow-on funding from a range of well-known venture investors. Its portfolio includes Blue Bottle Coffee, the coffee company later acquired by Nestlé.
