Former life sciences venture capital fund in Germany and Switzerland, now in liquidation

Global Life Science Ventures, known as GLSV, was an independent venture capital fund investing only in the life sciences. It backed early-stage groups from universities, scientific institutions and industry, and some later-stage companies including buy-outs. The fund is now in liquidation and is not seeking new investments.
The first fund began in 1996 and invested in 18 companies. The second fund started in 2001, also invested in 18 companies, mainly in Europe and the US, and exited its last assets in 2015. GLSV led the Series A round of GlycArt in 2003 and was involved in its later sale to Roche.
