The derivation of the Crimson name comes from several key influences in Mr Walker’s life and business career These include Samford University (newspaper is The Crimson, undergrad ‘90), Harvard University (Crimson is the mascot, MBA ’96), immersion in a tradition of championship college football (Crimson Tide) and a recognition of those that shed blood for our freedom and eternal life (Isaiah 1:18, I Peter 1:18-19, Elvina Hall’s 1865 song Jesus Paid It All, and our U S Military and supporting organizations)
