ConsenSys Mesh is a web3 incubator, accelerator and investor founded in 2015 by Ethereum co-founder Joseph Lubin, who remains its chairman. It was originally established as ConsenSys, working on software services and applications built on the Ethereum blockchain, before spinning out several infrastructure projects into a separate company, Consensys Software Inc, in 2020 and rebranding as Consensys Mesh the same year. It says it supports a network of more than 5,000 founders and builders, and has guided more than 90 projects through its accelerator programme, Tachyon. Its portfolio and incubated projects include Gnosis, Aztec, MetaMask, Gitcoin and Decrypt. Its applied research and development team has worked on areas including enterprise zero-knowledge technology, gaming, identity, state channels and the wider Ethereum ecosystem.
