Abercross was established in late 2016 to enable family offices and institutions gain exposure to investments in privately owned small and medium sized (enterprise value GBP 5m to 150m) growth companies in the UK and MENA region The firm is independent and FCA authorised, and has extensive on-the-ground origination, execution, and post-acquisition capabilities We target top quartile financial returns and structure deals with a strong focus on downside protection (with deployment of capital often in stages, and regular dividend payments)

What is our strategy Abercross specialises in investments which give a majority stake, but is also open to large minority interests in companies where there is strong shareholder alignment Typical cheque sizes range from GBP 5m to 30m We focus primarily but not exclusively on consumer, education, healthcare, and business services sectors We are unlikely to invest in financial services, real estate, and advisory businesses We target resilient sub-sectors where there is structural advantage We are hands-on investors, backing outstanding managers with clear, actionable, and sustainable plans

Our team is well balanced and has over 20 years’ average experience in management and in investing in small and medium sized businesses globally It is supported by in-house counsel and a team of advisers and sector experts We have a global network of business contacts, including a strategic investor base, enabling us to provide strategic support and attractive development opportunities to our portfolio companies We have an excellent blend of proprietary deal origination capability, investment risk management, and post-acquisition planning skills, as well as a lean cost base and diligent investor engagement
