Credit Guarantee Scheme for Startups (CGSS) is a government-backed lender in Mumbai, India. Government credit guarantee, run through NCGTC, on loans, venture debt and other debt that banks, NBFCs and SEBI-registered AIFs give DPIIT-recognised startups, now up to Rs 20 crore per borrower. The guarantee goes to the lender: a startup applies to a member lender or through the Jan Samarth portal.
