Corgibytes, LLC

Corgibytes, LLC specialises in the upkeep of existing software rather than new builds. The firm calls its approach software remodelling and describes its developers as cheerful janitors for code that other teams would rather avoid.

What Corgibytes, LLC offers

• Codebase assessment — reviews the health of an application and reports practical next steps written for executives, to help with budgets, roadmaps and planning.
• Software maintenance — takes on the necessary but unglamorous tasks that in-house developers tend to put off.
• Code remodelling — improves older code so it becomes more stable, scalable and secure over time.
• Team support — works beside internal developers to lift their morale and productivity.
• Talks and keynotes — its staff speak at conferences and to internal teams about their approach to maintenance.

Who it works with

The firm quotes a senior project manager at the Center for Open Science among its clients, and works with organisations whose software has built up years of history.
