Virtuozzo

Virtuozzo develops operating system and cloud infrastructure software for service providers, software-as-a-service firms and enterprises. It produced what it describes as the first commercially available container technology, in 2001.

What Virtuozzo offers

• Infrastructure as a service — hyperconverged, multi-tenant compute, networking and storage software.
• Platform as a service — a container-based DevOps cloud that scales itself and supports CI/CD.
• Kubernetes as a service — managed Kubernetes clusters that set up, grow and update automatically.
• Database as a service — databases that are created, clustered and maintained without manual steps.
• Storage — high-performance storage that uses less memory than Ceph, it says.
• Multi-cloud management — one view across several clouds, with built-in metering and billing.

Who it works with

Cloud service providers, SaaS companies and enterprises, including those looking for an alternative to VMware.
