• BS or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or an equally (or more) compelling collection of life experiences
• 10+ years of experience in software development and complex mobile platforms
• Advanced understanding of front and back-end programming such as CSS, Java Script, TypeScript, Node and Python
• Mobile native or cross-platform frameworks and languages
• Current knowledge of CI/CD, DevOps and QA principles, tools and techniques
• Proven track record of leading an engineering team and/or high impact engineering projects, ideally in large scale mobile platforms of social media domain
• Architected complex platforms and developed commercial grade technology roadmaps
• Design, drive and execute the engineering vision and strategy for mobile platform development
• Code engineering solutions that support an engaging, scalable, and interactive user experience through the scope of modern social media
• Translate product and technical strategies into concrete plans and objectives to be achieved over the short and medium-term
• Partner with Product and help them build compelling product roadmap based on user needs, resources and strategic opportunities
• Recruit, hire, grow and lead our core engineering team
• Effectively manage milestones, performance, and outcomes
• Partner with product management and other cross-functional leadership
• Cultivate a high energy, positive, mission-focused, innovative and collaborative engineering culture
• ​Maintain thorough understanding of industry trends to offer high-level insight to management
• 5+ years of experience designing and managing complex applications
• Advanced understanding of programming such as CSS, Java Script, TypeScript, Node and Python
• Mobile native or cross-platform experience with Node, React Native and/or Flutter or similar frameworks and languages
• Deep understanding of data structures, and database management systems such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, and AWS RDS and DynamoDB
• Proven track record of building and deploying entire mobile platforms from scratch

• Agile software development, test-driven development, unit testing, code reviews, design documentation, etc…)
• Willingness and ability to own all stages of the development process: design, testing, implementation, operational support
• Exceptional communication skills and the ability to establish and maintain a close working relationship with cross-functional team members and business partners – on-site and remotely
• Familiarity with modern social media and emerging trends
• Courage to refactor code when necessary
• A problem-solving mindset and a knack for troubleshooting
