While each search engagement is customized around the needs of the individual client organization, we place equal emphasis on the candidate experience throughout the entire process Today’s candidate could very well be tomorrow’s customer, volunteer, donor, or board member

A native of San Diego, Trevor has nearly 20 years of experience in executive search, recruiting and workforce development He began his career with Manpower, a global provider of recruiting and HR solutions, and was initially based in Sydney After 5 years with the Australian operation, he transferred back to the US for graduate school, and then rejoined Manpower in San Diego After serving for several years as a Business Development Manager, he shifted focus to build the company’s workforce development and executive search practices In this capacity, Trevor worked closely with nonprofit organizations to develop training and job placement programs for groups facing barriers to employment, such as youth, veterans and military spouses He also helped secure private and public funding to back those programs On the executive search front, Trevor built a significant practice at Manpower serving a range of clients in the public, nonprofit and corporate sectors In 2016, he leveraged this experience to launch a new firm, Blair Search Partners, specializing in search engagements for nonprofit and public-sector clients The company manages approximately 40 search engagements annually, two-thirds of which are at the executive and director level for clients such as the Rady Children’s Hospital Foundation, the San Diego Foundation, MAAC and the San Diego Symphony Trevor’s community engagement is centered on education and employment issues Current board and committee positions include LEAD San Diego, Zero8hundred (formerly the Military Transition Support Project), the Barrio Logan College Institute, San Diego Rotary, San Diego Grantmakers, and Mission Driven Finance Trevor is an avid endurance athlete, having competed in over 200 triathlons around the world He is a 10-time Ironman finisher and 3-time Boston Marathon finisher He holds a BA from the University of Pennsylvania (summa cum laude), and an MBA from the University of Southern California
Sarah manages executive search and recruiting engagements for the firm’s nonprofit clients in the San Diego area, including current projects for the San Diego Symphony and the San Diego Housing Commission Sarah brings 16 years of nonprofit sector experience to the firm, serving in workforce development, leadership programs and youth programs Prior to joining Blair Search Partners, she served as the Executive Director of the Eric Paredes Save A Life Foundation, an organization providing free heart screenings for teens in San Diego Sarah’s prior leadership roles include Program Director for Athena San Diego and Director of Community relations for the San Diego Workforce Partnership Her community engagement includes her current role as Chair of the United Way of San Diego County’s Women’s Leadership Council and LEAD San Diego She was also a finalist for the San Diego NEXT Top Business Leaders Under 40 Sarah holds a BA from Oregon State University and a MA in Nonprofit Leadership and Management from the University of San Diego
An experienced nonprofit professional, Tia has spent over 20 years within the sector, working in the areas of human services, community collaborations, partnership development and organizational development She began her career providing direct services at Catholic Charities before shifting into a policy and advocacy focus as the founding Executive Director of the San Diego Hunger Coalition Over the next 4 years Tia established the Hunger Coalition as the leading organization on efforts to increase participation in federal nutrition programs She then went on to launch a successful consulting practice, serving clients such as the California Association of Food Banks, City Heights Partnership for Children and 2-1-1 San Diego Tia was then recruited to the United Way of San Diego County, initially as Director, then as Vice President of Partnerships, where she developed and managed cross-sector initiatives to improve educational outcomes and family stability During her time at United Way, Tia also played a significant role in StriveTogether, a national network of organizations leveraging data to achieve racial equity and economic mobility After completing her work at United Way, Tia returned to consulting and established the Neighborhood Networks Program, a collaboration between healthcare plans, nonprofits, medical professionals, and the State of California working to provide high risk patients with critical resources to meet their medical and basic needs In her current role as a Director with Blair Search Partners, Tia leverages her experience as a nonprofit leader and consultant to provide talent acquisition support for a diverse portfolio of clients including West Health, TrueCare and the Central San Diego Black Chamber of Commerce She is a graduate of LEAD San Diego’s IMPACT program and was named Statewide Advocate of the Year while at the San Diego Hunger Coalition Tia holds a BA from Boston College and an MA from San Diego State University
