About Noplag

Noplag is a plagiarism checker that has run since 2014. Writers, researchers and educators upload a document and get a highlighted report. Its detection engine is released as open source under the Apache 2.0 licence.

What Noplag offers

Document checks — accepts Word, PDF, plain text and similar files, pasted text or a web address.
Source comparison — matches against live web results, academic papers, Common Crawl, Wikipedia and its own database.
Highlighted report — each match shows the source, a similarity score and the overlapping text, with PDF export.
Writing tools — an online editor with grammar checking and citation styles such as APA, MLA, Chicago and Vancouver.
API — a REST interface with webhooks.
