Data Files samples: shops and food
Six free sample databases for a corner shop, a wine and deli, a cafe, a takeaway, a florist and a pharmacy.
About this launch
Rutba Office Data Files now comes with sample databases for six kinds of shop and food business: Larkspur Corner Store, Bramblegate Wine and Deli, Little Fig Cafe, Saffron Lane Pizza and Curry, Hazel Row Flowers and Tansy Row Pharmacy.
Each one is a working database filled with made-up records, so a shopkeeper can see how the parts fit together before entering anything of their own. The corner store keeps products, the till and its receipts, VAT, supplier orders and loyalty customers. The deli follows batches with their dates, markdowns, write-offs and age checks at the till. The cafe costs its recipes and does a nightly cash-up, the takeaway handles phone, walk-in and online orders with delivery zones and drivers, the florist tracks stems and their waste and its weddings, and the pharmacy keeps stock by batch and expiry with prescription collections and home deliveries.
Every sample has its own short film showing it in use, gathered in one playlist, and any of them can be started empty for a real business. Data Files is part of Rutba Office, a free office suite for Windows that needs no account.
