Switch puts AI agents into the chat tools a team already uses — Slack, Microsoft Teams, Discord and Telegram — where they join channels as named participants and share the same context and history as the people in the room. The same agent can work across several projects, with each room keeping its own context, participants and rules. SandboxAQ open-sourced it on 26 August 2026 and describes it as platform- and model-agnostic: teams bring their own agents rather than adopting a new one. It is free and self-hostable. The practical appeal is that agent work stops being a hand-off to a separate tool and happens in the thread where the decision is being made.
