Orisift
API that checks a signup's phone number, email, IP address and domain and returns sourced evidence. Plans start at £19 per month for 20,000 credits, per its pricing page.
About this launch
Orisift is a validation API from Tervra Limited, a company registered in England and Wales with its office in London. A developer sends one phone number, email address, IP address or domain to a single endpoint and gets back a verdict, a risk score and a list of signals, each naming its source. The maker presented it on Hacker News on 12 October 2026.
## What it does
Phone checks parse and normalise a number and test it against national numbering plans, including reserved and fictional ranges. Email checks cover syntax, domain existence, mail routing, role addresses and a list of 8,985 known throwaway providers. IP checks classify the address, screen special-purpose ranges and read reverse DNS. Domain checks look at delegation, address records, mail routing, SPF and DMARC. The site is plain about limits: it does not confirm that a mailbox exists, that a phone line is live or who operates it, and it is not a threat feed. A response can carry a recommended action under a named policy, and retries with an idempotency key are not charged twice.
## Who it is for
The product suits developers and small teams who want to screen signups and clean contact data without running their own resolvers or maintaining numbering-plan data. Its terms bar use for eligibility decisions on credit, insurance, employment or housing.
