Launched 2026-09-30

About this launch

Inbound is an email API for developers, presented by its maker on Hacker News on 30 September 2026, that handles receiving and replying as well as sending. Once a domain’s DNS is verified, every address on it can receive mail, which is delivered to the customer’s application as JSON through a webhook; specific addresses can be routed to their own endpoints, with a catch-all for the rest, from the dashboard or the API. Replies are sent through the API in the same thread, which is the point for support desks and AI agents that need to hold a conversation by email. A command-line tool, inboundctl, lets an agent run its own mailbox. The site advertises unlimited mailboxes on a domain from $4 a month, with extra domains at $3.50 a month.

Not yet independently verified: The launch date rests on the maker’s own Show HN post of 30 September 2026; the service was running before that post. The site names no legal entity or location beyond “© 2026 Inbound”, and no independent report was found. We will update this when it can be confirmed, and remove this note.
