Hedwig
An open-source (MIT) tool for B2B cold-email sequences sent from mailboxes you already own: multi-step campaigns, reply labelling, and control from coding agents through an MCP server. Free hosted or self-hosted.
About this launch
Hedwig is an open-source, MIT-licensed tool for running B2B cold-email campaigns, introduced by its maker in a Show HN post on 30 September 2026 as a free alternative to paid sequencing tools. It sends multi-step email sequences from the mailboxes a team already owns, connected over IMAP and SMTP or through Microsoft 365, labels every reply, and reports results by campaign and by mailbox. Its site shows campaigns spread across several mailboxes with daily sending limits and business-hours windows, and says nothing is sent until the user starts a campaign. An MCP server lets coding agents build lead lists, draft and preview campaigns and read their statistics. It can be used on the maker’s hosted service or self-hosted from its public code repository, and the site gives no paid tier. Buyers should check the deliverability and consent rules that apply to cold email in their own market before use.
Not yet independently verified: The launch date rests on the maker’s own Show HN post of 30 September 2026. The site names no operating company or location, and no independent report was found. We will update this when it can be confirmed, and remove this note.
