Recraft V4.1 Flash

Recraft V4.1 Flash is the fastest and cheapest model in Recraft’s V4.1 text-to-image family, announced on Recraft’s blog on 23 September 2026 for Recraft Studio and the Recraft API (model id recraftv4_1_flash_raster). It produces raster images only, not vectors. Recraft’s own tests put the median generation time at 1.3 seconds through the API. The API price is $0.007 per image, against $0.035 for standard V4.1 raster generation and $0.21 for V4.1 Pro on the same pricing page — a fifth of the standard price, which is the number that matters for high-volume generation. Recraft positions it for iteration and prototyping, with a Refine step that re-renders a chosen Flash image through V4.1 Pro at 2048 × 2048 while keeping the composition, so the cheap model does the exploring and the expensive one only the finishing. Recraft has not published a parameter count or a native output resolution for Flash itself, and the speed figures are its own. An independent measure of quality now exists: Artificial Analysis’s text-to-image arena, where people vote between images from two models without knowing which is which, ranked it 76th with an Elo score of 957 from 5,554 appearances when read on 1 October 2026, and lists the same 23 September release date and $7 per 1,000 images.
