YORD

Yord’s journey starts in 2018 when Adam was leaving his career as Global Partner & Innovation manager in successful tech company Zoovu. He simply fell in love with the technologies of Virtual and Augmented Reality and in the potential, they have prepared for the world. It took him at least 6 beers to persuade his friend, David, at that time being lead VR/AR developer in the Etnetera development group to join him on this quest. Together they founded York, a creative Prague based AR, VR, MR studio that leads businesses into immersive reality.

Yord itself has several meanings but the truth is, we’ve found the island named Yord while browsing Superman’s home planet Krypton. Not sure how to explain that, let’s say that browsing Comics’ maps are our favorite free time activity. Yord also means supernatural or superior intelligence. As it is our mission to make reality better by giving people real superpowers, we cannot be more in love with the name we chose.
