It should be fun and easy to learn - regardless of the native language!
We are driven by the vision that every single student should succeed in school. Therefore, we have developed a multilingual digital tool in six languages ​​with short, animated films, covering the curriculum for high school. Students watch the movies on a computer, tablet or a mobile phone; either individually or together with the teacher. Each movie also includes a quiz, so students can check their knowledge themselves.
 
The lessons are both knowledge-intensive and entertaining, as fun-filled learning also tends to produce good study results.
 
Newly arrived young people can listen to their own mother tongue. This means that they can enter the Swedish school from basically the first day in this country. At the same time, they learn Swedish faster, as there are Swedish subtitles in the films. Over time, they usually switch to listening in Swedish and taking support of the subtitles in their native language.
 
Together with nearly 60 Swedish municipalities, Vinnova, researchers at Stockholm, Lund and Gothenburg universities - as well as several other parties - we run the research project “School for all from day one” (The Language Project). It aims to continue to develop our teaching tool, Studi, so that it gives all students the chance to learn at their own pace together with the class - regardless of language, ability, and background.
