Personalized medicine allows increasingly deeper insights into the human organism with the aim to achieve a more effective treatment for patients according to their individual physical characteristics.

A first step in this direction personalized medicine already applies to genetic diseases: using Next Generation Sequencing (NGS), thousands of mutations in the human genome can be analyzed in parallel. This information allows the physician to make the right decision for further treatment.
