Our aim is to use anyone's idle computer time to do jobs that are today performed by dedicated servers, compute farms or supercomputers. Golem in its ultimate form will be the truly decentralized Web, where the combined power of individual machines will deliver all the hardware compute resources needed by the market. Golem is a P2P network created by the computers running Golem's compute node application. Anyone may use Golem to send any computing task to the network, for a small fee. Conversely, anyone may use Golem to offer their own machine's computational resources for said tasks. Transactions are cleared between all participants on an Ethereum-based payment system.
