Two MIT Alumni: Pawan Gupta and Rahul Namdev, started Betterhalf.ai in 2016 out of their personal life partner searching experience. Betterhalf.ai is India's first of its kind “true compatibility” partner search product that uses Artificial Intelligence for professionals to find each other through true compatibility scores; based on multiple personality dimensions and couples’ interactions on the product.

In 2018, Betterhalf launched an app for qualified singles with an intent to get married in the near future with a compatible life partner. The product leverages Artificial Intelligence based on the relationship data of millions of couples worldwide. With Betterhalf, users can connect with a premium network of professionals through a rigorous verification process, compatibility based on personality and new UI that appeal to modern young professionals.

Our angel investors, which include Shailesh Rao, Former MD of Google India and Partner of TPG Capital ($2.1B fund), Vinay Subramanian, Stakeboat Capital ($200M fund) and Rehan A Khan, Investor at First Penguin Capital along with other MIT Alumni, have a firm belief that Betterhalf.ai wouldn’t just stop at providing a safer and more-efficient gateway for online romance, but also would be a pioneer in the match-making industry.

Betterhalf exists to disrupt the traditional matchmaking space, go beyond the conditional attributes like age, location, caste & dwell into interpersonal, intellectual and social connect.
