Founded in 1985 by those who were among the best professionals in the emerging advertising model and who contributed to the modernization and internalization of Italian advertising, the Italian Art Directors Club was born in the wake of similar associations present in advanced industrialized countries, which for some time they selected and promoted commercial communication in its expressions of the highest quality and innovation.

Over the course of more than thirty years of life, the Club has evolved in tune with changes in the market, the media, and society.

Today, the Italian Art Directors Club is an enlarged association that brings together professionals and enthusiasts of the "Communication" subject, but always devoted to the recognition and support of the value of creativity as a founding element and competitive advantage of corporate, institutional and social.

The selection of the best works through the Lapis Awards, their collection in a quality annual, the creation of training and meeting moments, the organization of public events to enhance the centrality of creativity in communication and the representation of the relevant professional's creativity in the communication industry are the Club's main activities.

There is a constant commitment to the training and promotion of new players with activities consolidated over the years, such as Enzo's Big Friday - an event in memory of Enzo Baldoni - dedicated by listed creative directors to the constructively "critical" vision of young creative portfolios.

In addition, in collaboration with Rai Pubblicità, the Adci organizes the Giovani Leoni every year, the creative contest that allows you to select the best emerging Italian talents for the Young Lions Competitions of the Cannes Film Festival.

ADCI pursues a qualitative and ethical vision of communication, both by striving to identify and reward virtuous models and through its ethical manifesto.
