MLtek Software

MLtek Software develops ArchiverFS, an archiving tool for crowded Windows file servers. It shifts ageing files from large NTFS shares onto NAS, SAN or cloud storage according to retention rules the customer sets, and leaves links behind so staff can still open archived files as before. The firm is listed in the United Kingdom.

What MLtek Software offers

• ArchiverFS — automatic movement of old files to second-tier storage under customer-defined retention policies.
• Link-based access — symbolic links keep archived files one click away for users.
• Open data format — archives stay as plain NTFS or ReFS data, with no proprietary database or storage format.
• Storage choice — any SMB or UNC path, including NAS, SAN, virtual machines and cloud services such as AWS, Azure, Google Cloud and Wasabi.
• Agentless design — nothing to install on client machines.
• Compliance support — permissions, timestamps and attributes are kept intact, which MLtek links to GDPR obligations.

Who it works with

Organisations from small businesses to multi-petabyte enterprises in over 40 countries, including corporations, government agencies, law enforcement bodies and universities.
