Lighthouse Systems

Lighthouse Systems, the UK developer of the Shopfloor-Online manufacturing execution system (MES), was acquired by Infor in October 2021, and its old website now forwards to Infor's MES product page. At the time of the deal Infor described Lighthouse as headquartered in Crawley, with offices in the UK, the United States and Singapore, and said it would integrate the MES with its CloudSuite ERP products.

What it offers

Infor MES digitises shop-floor operations and links them to ERP systems and plant equipment. It is sold as eight configurable modules:

• Production (orders and scheduling)
• Inventory (raw materials, work in progress and finished goods)
• Maintenance (preventive and corrective)
• Quality
• Energy
• Logistics
• Tooling
• Workflow

Infor presents it as a low-code, configurable system with central master data and support for rolling out across several sites.

Who uses it

The product is aimed at discrete, process and batch manufacturers. Examples on Infor's page include makers of copper tube, high-pressure laminates, metered-dose inhalers and plastics.
