LearnCube

LearnCube builds virtual classroom software for teaching live lessons online, running in the browser with nothing to install. Founder Dan O'Reilly started it in 2011 as a video chat tool for practising Spanish in Mexico; he later met chief executive Alex Asher at the Start-Up Chile incubator, and the company was registered in London in 2014. The team works remote-first.

What LearnCube offers

• Virtual classroom — WebRTC audio and video in the browser, which can be white-labelled with a school's logo, colours and domain.
• Online whiteboard — drawing, typing, annotation and several boards per lesson, with tools for maths and science tutors.
• Content library — cloud storage for lesson materials, plus ESL, French and Spanish courseware from CEFR A1 to C2 and Business English.
• AI teacher assistant — a beta tool that generates exercises such as reading comprehension and gap fills.
• Lesson recording — classes can be recorded for quality checks and student review.
• Enterprise tools — APIs, SSO, scheduling and reporting for corporate training and large platforms.
