Hyperbolic raises $30m Series A1 led by Walden Catalyst for GPU orchestration
Walden Catalyst leads, with Dell Technologies Capital, General Catalyst and Vista Equity Partners, to grow Forge, Hyperbolic's control…
GPU compute platform that standardises bare-metal clusters from many providers behind one control plane, with managed Kubernetes, inference services and a single API for hosted models.
Hyperbolic runs a platform for finding, renting and operating GPU compute across many providers. The company's argument is that the GPU cloud market now spans more than 300 providers with different hardware, networking and operating standards, so AI teams face complicated procurement and long contracts while providers struggle to keep capacity busy.
Its main product is Forge, a unified control plane that turns bare-metal GPU clusters from different providers into validated infrastructure, with one dashboard for provisioning, virtualisation, networking and operations. On top of it Hyperbolic offers managed Kubernetes, inference services and a single API that reaches models hosted by Hyperbolic and by other providers. It plans to add multi-cloud orchestration that places workloads by cost, performance and availability, support for Slurm, automated scaling and unified data services, and a Global Compute Grid where suppliers and customers can buy, sell and resell eligible GPU capacity.
Hyperbolic says more than 250,000 AI builders use it, including teams at Modal, Higgsfield, Daytona, HeyGen and Pika. Its customers range from teams that need on-demand capacity quickly to those moving to reserved contracts, and GPU providers that want to bring capacity to market. The company says its team brings experience from Google Cloud, Lambda, Lightning AI, VMware, Supermicro, Citadel and Point72.
