ExaGrid

ExaGrid makes disk-based storage systems built specifically for backup data. Its design pairs a fast disk-cache area, called the Landing Zone, with a separate long-term retention repository. Capacity grows by adding appliances, so the backup window does not lengthen as data increases.

Products and services

• Tiered backup storage: a landing zone holds the newest backups for quick restores, with older copies moved to a retention tier.
• Scale-out architecture: each added appliance brings disk, memory, bandwidth and processing power.
• Ransomware recovery: delayed deletes and immutable data objects on a storage tier that is not exposed to the network.
• Disaster recovery: replication to private, hybrid and public clouds.
• Backup application support: works with a range of backup software, including Oracle RMAN.
