7shifts: Restaurant Scheduling

7shifts: Restaurant Scheduling is a workforce platform made only for restaurants. Jordan Boesch started it in 2014 after seeing how hard shift scheduling was for his father, who ran two Quiznos locations.

What 7shifts: Restaurant Scheduling offers

• Scheduling — builds schedules with demand forecasting, labour cost controls and manager-approved shift swaps.
• Payroll — turns time and tips into pay, with tax filing and labour compliance built in.
• Hiring and onboarding — posts jobs, tracks applicants and stores digital onboarding documents.
• Training — turns existing documents into courses, with quizzes and automatic reminders.
• Team communication and retention — in-app chat, shout-outs, and performance and attendance insights for managers.

Who it works with

Restaurant operators and their staff. It connects with point-of-sale, analytics, payroll and training tools that restaurants already use.
