100TEETH

100TEETH is a young company from Stuttgart that has built a web service for groups to make decisions together. The idea grew out of years of research into democratic processes, and the team invites towns, cities and citizens' initiatives to use it for participation.

What 100TEETH offers

• Group founding: after registering, a user sets up a group and invites members.
• Candidacies: any member can stand as a candidate, and others can back them or stand themselves.
• Coalitions: candidates support coalitions, producing a free hierarchy within the group.
• Decentralised consensus: decisions are settled locally in candidacies and coalitions, then combined for the whole group.
• Spokesperson role: the coalition with most votes governs, and a spokesperson represents the group.

Who it works with

Public and private groups, including municipalities and citizens' initiatives. It runs on phones, tablets and desktops, and processes can include offline participation.
