Advanced Aerial

Advanced Aerial is a South African drone service provider that supplies aerial data for industrial operations, based in Emalahleni. The company presents its work as turning drone flights into information that clients can use within minutes rather than days. Its site says the service is operated under a Civil Aviation Authority UASOC certificate. It states that its drones support surveying, mining, security and asset inspection. The site also says the company brings modern solutions to traditional industrial challenges, from surveying and blast monitoring to security and surveillance.

Core services

• Surveying and mapping: drone surveys that produce maps and data for planning on site.
• Blast monitoring: monitoring of blasting operations for mining clients.
• Power line and asset inspection: inspection of power lines and industrial assets from the air.
• Security and surveillance: aerial monitoring for security needs, including thermal monitoring over large areas.
• Night and BVLOS flights: licensed flights at night and beyond visual line of sight within the H1 and H2 categories.

Imaging and data

The company says it captures high-resolution RGB images and footage with 4K cameras, multispectral images processed by specialised software, and thermal images that include temperature measurements for analytics. It describes these outputs as more frequent and faster than ground-based methods.

Operator and night flights

The site states that the service is operated by Drone Ops. It says beyond visual line of sight flying matters because it lets providers run complex operations, and lets drones take off and land without a pilot. Night flights are offered for 24-hour security and for uninterrupted thermal monitoring.
