WeDrive

WeDrive is a referral service that matches visitors to the California wine country with independent local wine tour guides who drive the visitor's own vehicle. It has operated since 2005 and covers Napa, Sonoma, Healdsburg and Calistoga, plus other Bay Area starting points.

What WeDrive offers

• Driver matching — customers check an availability calendar, choose a start time and pick a driver directly from profiles with photos.
• Designated driver tours — a guide drives the customer's own car or rental.
• Flexible itineraries — guests choose their own wineries or take the driver's suggestions, with an open end time.
• Concierge help — planning support for winery and restaurant reservations.

Who it works with

Tourists and groups visiting wine country who would rather not hire a limousine or join a fixed-schedule tour.
