Express 42

Express 42 (Экспресс 42) is a DevOps consultancy based in Russia that helps organisations improve how they build and deliver software. Its site is in Russian; the English address previously listed now returns a 404.

What it offers

• Diagnostics: benchmarking of the software development lifecycle (SDLC), DevOps and DevSecOps assessments, engineering-practice maturity reviews, infrastructure reviews, internal developer platform reviews and assessments of AI-native development processes
• Implementation: setting up engineering practices, cloud infrastructure and orchestration, delivery pipelines and developer platforms, including turnkey rollouts of the Deckhouse Kubernetes ecosystem and SDLC metrics monitoring
• Modernisation: migrating applications to Kubernetes distributions that do not depend on imported software, into or out of the cloud, and between public clouds
• Strategy: digital production strategy, and plans for digital sovereignty and operational resilience

How it works

The firm delivers projects through its own method, Express Framework, and runs project management on P3.express. It also publishes the annual State of DevOps Russia research, held since 2020, and offers a DORA quick self-check and an ROI calculator on its site. Client letters on the site include one from Bonasource about moving test environments to AWS and introducing infrastructure-as-code and continuous delivery.
