Firefox Enterprise is a browser offering from Mozilla for organisations with strict security, governance and compliance needs. It pairs the Firefox browser, which runs on Mozilla's own Gecko engine, with a management console that the customer hosts itself. Mozilla announced it on 12 October 2026, and its chief executive, Anthony Enzor-DeMeo, framed it as a response to a market where every browser option sits on the same underlying technology.
From the console, IT teams set browser policy and access centrally, govern how data moves through the browser and place controls around the use of AI tools. The product page describes data loss prevention that warns or blocks sensitive actions by domain, controls over the connections and telemetry the browser makes, and the option to allow, restrict or disable AI tools across the organisation. Lockdown Mode hardens browsing for high-risk or restricted use, and extension governance lets administrators allow or block add-ons organisation-wide. Browser events and audit activity can be exported to a SIEM. Mozilla says the product works beside the identity provider, SIEM and mobile device management tools a company already runs. Thunderbird Enterprise, for email, calendar and contacts, is in development.
The launch starts in Europe, with an initial sales focus on France, Germany, Austria and Switzerland and more markets to follow. It suits security and IT teams that want to keep policy, data and management inside their own infrastructure.
